hi neocities . i started learning to write html in late 2020 and ive build many projects. most are not published to the net and sit on myh hard drive some where. i started l337 to shout out some of them real niggas and to write a condescending goiodbye note to some pedophile that got doxed lol. but i am really proud of this project in particar because it looks a lot better than all my other projects. my old shit looked gay and homosexual and i could never figure out why. but i finally figured it out with l337 and fixed it . I like how this ject is coming along so far.

Hosting
if you upload directly to neocities, your images can quickly take up lots of your (limited) space. use an online file compressor, they can halve the size of images without visibly distorting quality.
the more convenient way to serve your images is through a filehosting service.
where to host the images you use on your site? I see a lot people use the shitty neocities uploader and manually type in the directory and image file name in the src attr. This approach is not convenient and i find it to be time - consuming. Also, the images will start take up space on the limited one gigibite of space that most users will have. What is easier is to hotlink the image that is hosted on another server, where you can have the image in seconds instead of dealing with clunky built in neocities uploader and typing in the directory and filename manulally. I see lots of retard newfags use discord, where they upload photos to discord and just link them. But discord was never a filehosting service, and the links are super long, And they Expire after a couple weeks! at that point you should just be a neocities uploadercuck. So Use a designated ""filehosting"" service, like Pomf! They are very convenient and i will have an image up on my site in just a few seconds. But i wouldn't count on the filehosting service to keep yuor files, sometimes they go down, and on rare occasions they are permanantly shut down, which unfortunately happen to me once and half the images on my site were gone. If you are going to use filehoster I think that you must keep a copy of every image used on your site saved on your computer!

my advice to new Neo cities users from an OG: If you use a template you gay lol. dont even think about starting a site, 100% of you just quit within the first 20 minutes... a template is a shitty workaround for lazy people who dont reeally care about learning how to write a webpage. they just wanna make one and say oh look at me im so webcore hahaha y2k XDDD bro please you have to learn the language its not even hardt. REALLY you're going to build off of someone else's webpage? i've seen your page one million times and they all look the same. have some personality young blood you came here to express yourself didn't you?? I wish you the best in the development and learning process of your personal website.
For the rest you who DONT use a template: please offer something interesting to other Neocities users like music and your thoughts, interests, and stuff; consumed media (write about movies and books you have read). my first site here in 2021 was only sharing my uutube channel and a minecraft cat texture pack i had made. In my defense i didnt make it for neocities users, it was for my online friends at the time. but thares a reason why it has 27,000 views and no followers; and why this site has 4,000 views and eight followers. I have something that someone cares about here!! So please dont be like that.
and please do not just leave your site i see too many of you retarted newfags write your name and interests on a webpage and leave it rotting for two weeks. Negro you got to put in the work everyday (even if it is just 10 minutes of writing html a day!) nigga let your fingers flow with the keyboard you gotta really show up on the front page mane.!! and it is not much hard to make an enticing or pleasant webpage, at some point you will start to understand that being able to create a good looking page and being good at HTML and CSS are two different things. . for all of you, go the simplistic route. too many niggers see full looking pages and want it BUT DO YUO HAVE ANY REASON to have a complcated webpage when you have no much information to give to your user.
Interact with the community. and i dont mean follow that lain site i mean follow the sites that are small like you. say how cute their website is. you have a 70% success rate of them followingg you back lol. just look at Tarman's profile, that nigga follow everybody and they follwo him back. if he didnt interact and explore other people's sites regularly he would have like ten followers max.
new people, you need to use inspect element. i used to just do everything in the neocities editor but styling on the inspect element is so much better since u see the changes live and stuff. ive used it to fix lots of my site. also Do any of u reallly hate the idea of ur site looking homosexual because of a styling error and someone might go on ur site and see it? and u try and fix it and it dont work? its like someone walking in on you changing.. thats why u use inspect element, because ur just changing the site on ur end,, and not to anyone else.... BTW, you can right click an element and press Q to inspect it! You dont have to rumage through all your html to find an element Only on firefox lol you guys should really switch.

i really reeally i think need to work on the like theme and stuff. i want like gothic undertones adn stuff because goth stuff is cool and mysterious and dark. btw I use the neocities editor idk how to set up to do it on a real IDE befcause im fine like this and i dont see a real reason why i need the ide unless im doing something liek super hard and need annotations.
