hi user, welcome to the /classical/ board where we discuss the period of 'western classical music' spanning from the Baroque (1600-) to Modern era (-2000) music. The design of this page was partially inspired by this Cranes music video, howsoonisnow.org and rococo architecture.

How do i get into classical??
if you're a newfag the ! best way to get into classical is to first consume the most accesible and successful pieces. You might already recognize Rach's Piano Concerto No. 2 or Shoshtakovisch's Waltz No. 2 because they have been blowing up on tik tok.com. They are pieces that are expressive and melodic in a way that appeases modern virgin ears like yours in a not trying to be an elitist retard tone
here's my caravan of klassische musik to you, casual listener. (Composer - Piece) if you're looking to get into classical music more seriously, let me tell you. There is no one version of a piece, any given one has been performed and recorded hundreds of times. A trve classicalfag only listens to the best recordings!

or just read the 4chan sticky blah blah who gives a shit
